SIMPLY MY BEST

UPDATE: This was the website where we figured out what SMB would be. Then we created a new site for SMB 2014. Then, in March, 2014, we launched a REAL website for the event and our nonprofit called Pilot Butte Summit Seekers. Check it out...

Kind of cool to watch it change from something we literally made up as we went along to something that was built on the efforts of so many and actually planned to some degree. It will be fun to watch the new website take shape over the coming months.

Btw, if you haven't heard, SMB 2014 is May 10th!

Note: Many functions on this old site have been removed or disabled, but the blog remains as a record of the SMB journey.

Oops, tech problem found (solved?)

Update: Now several hikers have told us they are having problems bringing up the blog with the address we provided.  Most people are not having problems, but a few are.  It seems to have something to do with security settings on whatever computer you are using and the solution appears to be to start the address with "https" as opposed to "http".
I have researched this quite a bit and I am still not sure what is happening.  It might have something to do with the RSVP form.  I didn't see a need for it to be encrypted because we aren't asking for sensitive info.  So I just went ahead and paid a few bucks for a non-free account that includes SSL encryption.  That actually solves another problem we were quickly approaching.  The free account limits you to 100 submissions and so that is no longer an issue.  I am hoping this solves the problem.  For those interested, click here for more information on "https".

Of course, you are not reading this unless the address worked for you.  But if you give/send the address to someone else, and they cannot bring up the blog, this is most likely the problem.  Please email us if you have any problems.  The email address will always work.

Happy trails, Bill
